Several months ago the AUD surpassed the USD and today sits at: 1 Australian dollar = 1.0767 U.S. dollars.
For a time, games were decent and worth the price. For example, Deus Ex: HR, Portal 2, Fable 3, Dirt 3, Dungeon Siege 3 - all are right now $49.99 USD or less, and a price I am happy to play for a quality title. Import costs be damned. You can't charge twice the price with the same import costs as other titles.
It feels fucking insulting right now and no matter how I voice this, it carries no weight.
