I wish there was some way to record what happens in my neighborhood on Halloween. People are almost literally bussed into my community to trick or treat here. We'll probably see close to 2000 visitors at my house alone, not including the parents and such walking around.
My whole community becomes one giant block party. Some houses don't give out candy, they set up giant tubs of ice with soda instead for thirsty treaters. Other people bring in old timey tractors and tow these long flats to be used as hay rides to get from one end to the other.
Some of the street loops and cul-de-sacs are all decorated with a giant theme covering many homes, and there are plenty of fully decked out "haunted houses" to walk through if you dare.
There isn't that many people in my community, just people come from everywhere. I don't even know why. There is no flyers or news or anything saying that this is the place to be. It's really just a nice sidewalk community 364 days out of the year.
I'll be escorting my 7 y/o Luke Skywalker in full padawan outfit, and my 6 y/o Puss-n-Boots (he gets all the ladies). We probably wont be able to hit more than 30% of the homes in my subdivision before the candy buckets are filled. While my wife and other family in the area will man the candy bins in my yard. (there are just too many people to use the front door). We've purchased 30+ "giant assorted candy" bags (I think they are 10lbs each) I hope we don't run out before 8:30 like we did last year.
