Vanguard free-to-play relaunch this month

With the huge number of free-to-play MMORPGs hanging around nowadays, loitering in shopping centres and being mouthy to security guards, one could play nothing but their typically-decent starting levels and still not run out of games. Add Vanguard to that list, from August 14.

The PlanetSide 2 beta was supposed to kick off today, "barring any unforeseen circumstances." Oh no! Unforeseen circumstances have arisen, and it'll now be a few days late, to ensure it's all polished and shiny.

Sony Online's president John Smedley has confirmed the PlanetSide 2 beta should be coming Monday or Tuesday of next week. A new trailer for the game has also been released, showing that "Death is no excuse."
