Retro JRPG Grinsia coming to PC and 3DS

A port of a mobile RPG may not sound wholly exciting, but Nicalis has proven it has an eye for picking games to port (from VVVVVV to The Binding of Isaac), so I'll give it the benefit of the doubt. The publisher has announced it's bringing Kemco's retro-styled RPG Grinsia to PC, Nintendo 3DS, Mac, and Linux, polished up a little.

Shadowrun Berlin DLC delayed to become bigger

"Oh? So soon?" some wondered about Shadowrun Returns's Berlin DLC aiming for a late October launch. "So it's not that big, then?" Which set developer HareBrained Schemes a-thinking: why not? It's now delayed the DLC into January to make it bigger and richer.

Gone Home review: since you've been gone

Gone Home is a point-and-click mystery that excels, thanks to a gripping story of a girl returning home to learn about the changes her family has undergone, living under the roof of a strange house.

Tropico 5 introducing dynasties and multiplayer

After Tropico 3 revived the city-build strategy series, Tropico 4 was a pretty safe sequel--not bad, but not bold. How pleasant, then, that developer Haemimont Games is getting creative with Tropico 5, announced today by publisher Kalypso. Spanning several centuries, it'll see El Presidente building a lasting dynasty, and boast four-player co-operative and competitive multiplayer t'boot.

Endless racer Race the Sun lights up next week

We've seen hordes of endless runners zipping about since Canabalt launched four years ago, but most look very similar to each other. So come, look, see Race the Sun, a 3D "endless racer" which sees your solar-powered ship trying to stay in the light of the setting sun. Developer Flippfly today announced it'll launch for PC, Mac and Linux on August 19.

Europa Universalis IV demo out; Crusader Kings save converter priced

Ahead of its launch next Tuesday, Paradox has a released a demo for historical strat-o-rama Europa Universalis IV. In slightly less pleasant news, though, it's announced that the Crusader Kings II save game converter offered as a pre-order bonus will otherwise cost a whopping $10. I'm normally hesitant to recommend pre-ordering but, well, if you like your history hard and heavy, it may save you quite a few dollars here.

Left 4 Dead 3 listing discovered during Valve tour

The internet jokes that Valve is allergic to the number 3. However, it appears one sequel may finally reach that ever-elusive number. A recent tour of Valve's office by Reddit members has unearthed a listing for "Left 4 Dead 3."

Shadowrun Returns Berlin DLC aims for October

Shadowrun Returns may be out for PC and Mac (I completed it over the weekend: I liked the bit where I got a rad roboarm), but oh, there's still so much to do. Developer HareBrained Schemes dropped a dev update on Friday, with news on the Linux, iOS and Android versions, as well as the Berlin add-on campaign that'll be free to backers.
