In 2011, Steam launched the 'Potato Sack' indie bundle, crammed full of hidden references to Portal 2. As well as a canny piece of marketing, it was a fantastic bargain for players, and now the Sack has very briefly returned, offering 13 fine indie games for $19.99.

Origin boss: Steam sales 'cheapen intellectual property'

Civilization V adding Steam Workshop for mods

Firaxis is cutting out Civilization V's existing mod browsing system to slip in Valve's sleek and chic Steam Workshop. As in Portal 2 and Skyrim, it'll let you easily peruse, download, rate, and submit mods through your browser or the Steam client.
