Nintendo has announced that it will be holding a Direct tomorrow, on May 17 at 3pm PT, where it will showcase Arms and premiere a brand new trailer for Splatoon 2.

It’s likely that this’ll be among the last big push for we’ll get about Nintendo’s new franchise before it launches on June 16. Splatoon 2, the sequel to the hit Wii U shooter will also have a new trailer shown sometime during tomorrow’s event. Splatoon 2 is set to hit the Switch on July 21.

At the last Nintendo Direct to feature Arms, the company premiered a new character and explained how the customization works to give you near-endless options in combat. We can probably expect another character to debut, along with any other gameplay details Nintendo has been staying mum on so far.

I have two pro controllers and two joycons (obviously), will this work with Arms, or am I going to have to buy MORE joycons to play this game?

It's also playable with a pro controller, it's just not the way they are showing the game off is all.

If you want to play with motion controls (the default method), you need a pair of Joy-Cons for each person. There are traditional controls for Pro controllers or Joy-Cons in the grip.

Hmm, does the lack of motion controls take away from the experience?
