Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 Finally Backward Compatible on Xbox One
All we can say is 'It's about damn time.'
Microsoft has been adding games left and right to the Xbox One's backward compatibility list, but the most requested title has always eluded fans. Well, now they can rejoice. Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 is officially playable on Xbox One.
For some reason that Microsoft has never elaborated on why CoDBlOps 2 was always left in the dust when it came to making it compatible on the current gen console. Call of Duty 3 made it last September, joining Call of Duty 2 and and the original Black Ops. Fans never kept pressing, as it stayed at the top of the most requested games for backward compatibility since the Xbox One came out. Xbox chief Phil Spencer even wanted it.
Now, the Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim holds the lead of most requested. Modern Warfare 2 and Modern Warfare 3 follow close behind.
If you have never tried the game, then you are in luck as it is part of the Xbox Spring Sale and is currently 50% off, with Xbox Gold members save 60% through April 17.
