Massive troll Az-Laar, best known for ripping the heads of enemies in Middle-earth: Shadow of War and screaming a lot, has died. Its official age was unknown.

Az-Laar, called the Demolisher or Dark Destroyer by associates and enemies alike, was killed while assaulting a Seregost stronghold owned by a Sauron Overlord. Reports say he was doused in oil and lit on fire by Tugog the Flame of War. Az-Laar died at the scene. 

The troll was a loyal follower of the Ranger Talion and his spirit buddy, the Elf lord Celebrimbor. When it wasn't throwing enemies around like ragdolls or ripping their heads off, he could be seen breaking down walls of locked gates. Associates say it was also an exceptional shield when assaulting troops with poisoned weapons because of its immunity to the deadly substance. It was rumored that Az-Laar was going through some anger therapy to help increase his rage, but those reports are unsubstantiated. 

Az-Laar had been working closely with a group at Monolith Studios on a piece highlighting its strengths and abilities when he was betrayed by the story twist. Monolith apologized, eulogizing the big guy with a tribute video.
