Ghost Recon: Wildlands Gets 4K PC Tech Experience From Nvidia
Nvidia worked closely with Ubsisoft to ensure the game would use the company's high-end graphics cards to full effect.
Nvidia and Ubisoft have been working closely together on Ghost Recon: Wildlands to bring a solid graphics experience to PC players. A new 4K tech video shows off a lot of the visual goodies that will be on display when the game launches on March 7.
Some of the features that will be PC specific:
- DirectX11 Volumetric Lighting: As in FarCry 4, God rays can be enhanced to offer more realistic lighting.
- HBAO+ Ambient Occlusion Shadowing: HBAO+ adds higher-quality shadows, and greatly improves the fidelity, visibility and accuracy of distant shadows, some that would not exist without this option.
- Nvidia Turf Effects: Increases the density and fidelity of grass throughout the game, adding an extra layer of immersion with the other effects options.
- Nvidia Ansel Support: Allows GeForce GTX gamers to capture and share unique screenshots snapped from any angle.
To get the most out of the included effects, Nvidia recommends its high-end GeForce GTX 1070, GeForce GTX 1080 and GeForce GTX 1080 Ti GPUs. The 1080 TI was announced at GDC this week.
