Rogue Trooper: Redux Remaster Coming From Rebellion

The blue-skinned GI from Nu Earth will be appearing on Nintendo Switch PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4.

Rogue Trooper was a decent game from Rebellion back in 2006, pulling on the story from the 2000AD comic series. With the current push to bring old games to new consoles, we're getting Rogue Trooper: Redux as a remaster.

If you aren't familiar with the older game or comic series, Rogue is a "genetic infantryman" designed to resist the toxic atmosphere on Nu Earth. He is the last soldier fighting the Nort regime, having seen three friends fall in battle. He now carries them as biochips in his equipment gaining their abilities, and as a reminder that revenge is his main motivation now.

Rebellion owns the comic book publisher 2000AD, and for the first time has brought in outside studio TickTock Games to help with development. Rebellion has previously released Judge Dredd: Dredd vs. Death in 2003, also a 2000AD comic.

Rogue Trooper: Redux is coming for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. A release date has not been announced.

I played this years ago. It was actually a pretty solid game. IMO it did cover shooting better than Gears of War.

Fuck yes, that game was awesome. The one drawback is that it's short as hell and I don't think multiplayer is enough to justify a premium price. Definitely looking forward to replaying it and I hope they do more with the license going forward.

Hell, pack it in with a remake of Dredd vs Death and I'd gladly pay $60
