The Silver Case Remaster for PS4 Will Include Two Extra Chapters
Suda51's remake of the 1999 PS1 game will add a conclusion to the story, and then a bridge chapter to his episodic sequel.
The remaster of Suda51's PS1 classic The Silver Case for PlayStation 4 will be hitting in April, and while the original game will be getting lots of visual and technical upgrades, the game will have two new chapters of content as well.
One chapter, Yami, will take place several months after the original game ended and bring closure to the story. White Out Prologue will happen after that with a time jump, and act as a lead-in to Suda51's episodic sequel, The Silver Case: Ward 25, which released in segments between 2005 and 2011. If the remaster does well, Suda has said that he could remake Ward 25 as well.
With The Silver Case, he said he liked the idea of getting back in touch with the feeling of being indie: "With putting out this game, we wanted to go back 17 years ago, before I was Suda51, back when I was just some guy making stuff and be a creator and embrace that indie feeling.”
The Silver Case comes out on April 18.
