Relic has gone on a trailer rampage for the upcoming Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War 3. It has released not only a new video surrounding the story pushing the game, but also three more tied specifically to the Ork, Eldar and Space Marine factions.

The first offers a bit of background on why the races are in all-out conflict in the game. The fabled Spear of Khaine is supposed to determine the fate of the different sides, and of course, everyone either wants to own it or protect it. Leaders Gabriel Angelos, Farseer Macha, and Gorgutz feature prominently as well. It is narrated by Eldar Farseer Taldeer.

As for the faction videos, the first features the Blood Ravens of the Space Marines. It shows off Chapter Master Angelos leading the Marines against anyone standing in the way of the emperor. 

For the Eldar, Farseer Macha is back from the original Dawn of War and is leading her armies to keep the race from extinction.

And finally, Gorgutz ‘Ead’unter leads the maniacal Orks toward the mythical weapon that would let them dominate the galaxy.

Back in December, Game Director Phillip Boulle said the dev team was creating a hero-focused narrative. "We're telling a story about characters, not entire armies," Boulle said. "It's an incredibly challenging yet rewarding thing to dig into, especially with a strategy game."

Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War 3 is scheduled to come out later this year on PC.
