Paranormal Activity: The Lost Soul VR Game Coming to Early Access Next Month
Based on the movie franchise, it will be compatible with the HTC Vive and Oculus Rift to start and then PlayStation VR later.
The Paranormal Activity movies have proven incredibly popular, so making a game based on the horror franchise seems like a logical next step. Making it in VR should be downright scary.
Paranormal Activity: The Lost Soul will be coming to Steam Early Access on March 14, and will support HTC Vive and Oculus Rift initially. It plans to eventually add support for PlayStation VR. It is being developed by VRWerx in conjunction with Paramount using the Unreal Engine. The game had a demo around the country back in October to coincide with the latest movie release, Paranormal Activity: The Ghost Dimension.
A teaser trailer was just released to promote the Early Access, but VRWerx released a bit of gameplay in January that gives you a better idea of what to expect. Given how popular a virtual reality Resident Evil 7 experience was, this could be another solid heart-stopping experience for horror game fans.
