Rocket League Update to Offer PS4 Pro Support Next Week
60 FPS in 1080p and 4K will be available for all arenas in one- and two-player split-screen modes.
Rocket League will be getting an update next week that should make PS4 Pro players happy. Full 4K resolution support is coming with 60 FPS on all maps in one- and two-player split-screen modes.
The update, which is scheduled to come out on February 21 along with the Hot Wheels DLC, will also support 60 FPS in three- and four-player modes as well, but Psyonix inferred that a few arenas may run slower than that depending on circumstances. Developer Panic Button assisted Psyonix with the update and PS4 Pro compatibility.
Other changes coming in the patch:
- A new fan-voted “Player’s Choice” Crate filled with some of the community’s favorite items.
- PS4-specific technical improvements.
- Multiple performance optimizations and bug fixes.
Psyonix did not specify what the technical improvements were or if the bug fixes would also be applied to Xbox One or PC, so I guess we will need to wait for the full patch notes next week.
