Rock Band VR Touches Down For Oculus Rift This March
Preorder your copy ahead of release to ensure you're ready for virtual rock stardom.
Harmonix’s upcoming virtual reality augmented Rock Band VR is still coming (thankfully) and it will be touching down on Oculus Rift on March 23. If you want to ensure you get in on the virtual insanity, you can go ahead and start preordering today ahead of the game’s official debut. It's a long way to the top if you wanna rock and roll, you know.
The Rock Band VR preorders ship bundled with a controller for $69.99 that can also work with your PlayStation 4 or Xbox One versions of Rock Band 4. The Oculus Touch Controllers, if you purchased them, came with an adapter in the box that will allow you to use the Rock Band controller in VR, but if you didn’t pick up the Touch Controllers you might want to go ahead and do that ahead of Rock Band VR dropping next month.
If you already have Rock Band 4 and a guitar controller and you’re all kitted out for your Oculus Rift experience, you’ll be ready to go when the game drops. VR compatibility is currently only available for PC and Oculus Rift users for now, but that could change going forward.
The first three songs, according to GameSpot, are as follows:
Aerosmith – "Walk This Way"
The Killers – "When You Were Young"
Paramore – "Ain't It Fun"
There will be a total of 60 songs in the end for Rock Band VR, ranging from “legendary artists and upcoming acts on the verge of breaking out.” Hopefully there’s a more complete list of songs coming out soon, which we’ll be happy to report on when we’re able.
As far as preordering goes, you can head to Amazon right now and grab the bundle of your choice.
