The Last Guardian Gets a Permanent Price Cut
If you were waiting for it to hit the right impulse price, it just may have gotten there.
The Last Guardian was a good game, especially given how long we had to wait for it. It even made our Top 10 in our Game of the Year voting last year. But that has not stopped publisher Sony from permanently cutting the price of the game by $20 less than two months after release.
A Sony rep confirmed to Polygon that the cut from $59.99 to $39.99 was not temporary and fans can grab it at the new price immediately. It is is already showing up with the new price on most major retail sites as well as at the PlayStation Store. In the UK, the title outperformed first week sales of Team Ico's last game, Shadow of the Colossus, even though it debuted at #7, while Colossus ranked #1 at the time in 2005. Of course, after the long delay, people were anxious to see if the game lived up to all the hype. Even Sony boss Shuhei Yoshida was excited when he finally unboxed the game in front of a camera.
Of course, being able to order around a massive cat-dog-bird named Trico does have an appeal all its own.

On consoles, it's either 30 or 60. You don't want anything in between, since the consoles (and any currently available TV's) don't support adaptive refresh rates. So I don't think you're going to see a 60fps Last Guardian any time soon.
If you play it at 1080p on the Pro, though, you will get a 100% solid 30fps. If you play at 1900p (or whatever it renders at in 4k mode) you'll get some dips into the 20's pretty frequently. I dealt with way worse when Shadow of Colossus came out, so I'd probably deal with it here
