Mass Effect: Andromeda PC Version Has Uncapped Frame Rate, But No Crossplay
PC players of Mass Effect: Andromeda won't get crossplay, but won't be locked into a certain framerate.
Mass Effect: Andromeda will let PC players use the full capabilities of their systems by not locking the frame rate to an arbitrary setting. Unfortunately BioWare has stated the multiplayer component of Mass Effect: Andromeda, crossplay is not supported. This means that each version of the game, be it for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, or PC will only be able to play multiplayer with other players on the same system.
The original Mass Effect trilogy, which ran on a modified version of Unreal Engine 3, was locked to 62 FPS by default. Though you could tweak the engine in .ini files to remove the cap in the original Mass Effect games, you won't have to in Mass Effect: Andromeda, support for unlimited frame rate will be available out of the box.
@tibermoon @Tinkham11 crossplay not in the current plans, sorry. and mp is peer to peer (same as me3)

In addition to the multiplayer not being crossplay-capable, it's also peer-to-peer as opposed to having dedicated server support. Mass Effect 3 also supported multiplayer via peer-to-peer connections, and it makes sense that BioWare and EA would go this direction. Mass Effect 3 multiplayer wasn't exactly popular, and the biggest comment I heard on it was that people didn't like feeling like they had to play it to get Galactic Readiness Points for the single-player campaign.
More info about Mass Effect: Andromeda will be released as we get closer to the March 21 release date, when the title releases on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4.
