ShenmueHD and ShenmueRemastered domains registered by Sega Europe
Shemnuegame.com has been registered as well the spelling-impaired.
Sega has said that it would eventually like to remaster the original Shenmue in HD, and some new domain registries could mean that is getting closer to reality.
Sega Europe has registered ShenmueHD.com and ShenmueRemastered.com, as well as the oddly spelled shemnuegame.com (courtesy of Sega Nerds and SegaBits, via TSSZ). The latter is obviously meant to corral anyone who mistypes shenmuegame.com, which has been owned by a third party since 2015, but redirects to Yu Suzuki's Kickstarter for Shenmue 3, being published by Sega. The Whois pages for the domains originally had Sega Europe listed, but have since been changed to remove any mention of the company.
Don't get too excited that anything is imminent, as these domains were actually registered back in September, and are just now coming to light. But obviosuly the success of Suzuki's Kickstarter for round 3 has shown that interest is still there for the series, which could have Sega seeing $$$ in remastering the originals.
So, as always, stay tuned.

Man I still remember the first time I saw the trailer for Shenmue, still in Japanese, and was completely blown away by how good it looked. That combined with the slightly small, yet open world, and the passage of time, and all the other details.
Really great stuff.
I would like to see an HD remaster add camera controls though since were not dealing with the single analog Dreamcast controller any more.
