New Update Brings Level Editor to Turok Remastered Edition on Steam

Use a host of creator tools in this all-new update to create your very own custom levels in Turok: Dinosaur Hunter.

Turok’s remastered edition on Steam now has a complete level editor for all of your memory-constructing needs.

A relatively robust one, this level creator will allow you to access assets from the game, snap them in place in a grid formation, preview them in both third and first-person, and even add particle and lighting effects inside their custom editor. It’s available in-game now as part of a free update. Check out more details in the official video from developer Night Dive Studios below.

Originally released on the PC and Nintendo 64 in 1997, Turok: Dinosaur Hunter is a first-person shooter adaptation of a comic book in which one man fights against a legion of dinosaurs, soldiers, and other dangerous creatures. It has released in various forms and installments since then and was included it in our list of classic shooters in need of a revival.

Probably by next year. The company is busy with the System Shock remake.

Judging by the demo, it looks to be very promising.

Your last sentence is the only thing I remember about Turok 2. It was a fun game that ran awesome on my overclocked Celeron 300a @ 450.

And when is the Powerslave remaster going to get an official release? :'(

Turok 2 hasn't aged very well, unfortunately. The ammo distribution is bullshit and iirc the enemies are fucking sponges. Never enough ammo in the levels for the amount of enemies, especially crappy because of how awesome the weapons are.

Really want to replay the first and third games
