CNN Uses Fallout 4 Images in Russian Hacking Segment and Bethesda Responds
CNN falls prey to 'Google Images Syndrome' by including Fallout 4 hacking mini-game in a report.
CNN used a clip of Fallout 4 terminal hacking mini-game footage in a report last month about President Obama's sanctions against Russia. We all make mistakes when it comes to news stories sometimes, and when pressed for time with a lack of image or video assets it's easy to make this kind of mistake. However, regardless of whether it's a harmless error or not, it's hilarious.
Reddit user Poofylicious was the person to spot the Fallout 4 terminal hacking mini-game in CNN's report. However, it seems like since the blunder's discovery CNN has removed the clip from its article.

Bethesda, the publisher of Fallout 4, took the error in stride. A Tweet from the official Bethesda Game Studios Twitter account made light of the situation.

CNN's Fallout 4-related error is far from unusual, so we can't be too hard on it. It's just one more example of why we all need to be vigilant about media use in articles.
