Many a PC gamer cut their real-time strategy teeth on Age of Empires 2, and it's great to see an old friend receiving updates eighteen years after its release. Rise of the Rajas brings the empires of Southeast Asia to Age of Empires 2 HD, and with them come a host of new units and architectures.

The civilizations of Burma, Khmer, Malaysia, and Vietnam join the Age of Empires 2 roster, and with them come elephants, tons of elephants. Age of Empires 2 HD also received a sizable patch last week in preparation for the release of Rise of the Rajas which adds fixes and balance tweaks.
