Shinji Hirano was appointed as Kojima Productions' new president last month. Shinji was formerly Konami Europe's president and was Division Director of Konami Digital Entertainment's Sales Division when he left the company this past March.

Shinji brings to Kojima Productions a broad knowledge of corporate level sales and management, something that the company will need as it continues to work on its first products. Kojima Productions has not yet released a video game title, but there's plenty of excitement behind the upcoming Death Stranding.

With big names like Norman Reedus, Guillermo del Toro, and Hideo Kojima, Kojima Productions is poised to be a video game development powerhouse. However, without the corporate leadership of experience individuals like Shinji Hirano, the fledgling development studio would be dead on arrival. Hopefully, in the coming months, we'll get further opportunities to see just what Kojima Productions has in store for us.
