Ubisoft's For Honor Requires You to be Always Online
For maximum honor, make sure you're using a broadband connection.
For Honor joins the ranks of games that require you always to be online. Ubisoft's representative UbiJurassic confirmed the always online requirement in a post on the For Honor forum stating:
"We can confirm that For Honor is an always-online experience. Some elements of progression, which is hosted online, are shared across story and multiplayer modes. Players will need to be connected to the internet at all times to play For Honor."
Even though For Honor can be enjoyed as a single-player experience, you better be online to do it. Ubisoft also cut the split-screen multiplayer, so I hope you didn't have any friends (in the nicest way). Still, this hack-and-slash looks like it might be a lot of fun, and I'm going to give it a try when it comes out on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on February 14, 2017.
