Skyrim creator praises Switch, kinda-sorta confirms Skyrim Special Edition for the console
Although it was shown in Nintendo's reveal trailer, Bethesda has yet to explicitly confirm Skyrim Special Edition for Switch.
Bethesda director and executive producer Todd Howard talking Fallout and Elder Scrolls with Rolling Stone's Glixel publication, and invariably, the subject of Skyrim on Switch came up.
"Can you really bring Skyrim with you on the go?" the editor asked, referencing the Switch.
"It's the same game on the TV and on the other screen," Howard replied. That's not as explicit a confirmation as fans would like, but Howard's elusiveness coupled with the fact that Bethesda and Nintendo really have no reason to arbitrarily include footage from Skyrim in the Switch launch trailer, a port seems likely.
Switch has been a hot topic since Nintendo stripped away the "NX" codename and revealed its handheld/console hybrid in a trailer on October 20. Howard has gone hands-on with the hardware, and is excited about the possibilities it offers.
"I love it. I got to play it. I will tell you – well, maybe that's an N.D.A. thing. One of the best demos I've ever seen. Probably the best demo I've ever seen. At E3," he told Glixel.
(While Nintendo devoted its entire show floor to Zelda: Breath of the Wild at E3, it did bring Switch to show developers and publishers in behind-closed-doors meetings.)
"I think it's really smart what they're doing," Howard continued. "We're definitely going to be supporting it." Bethesda's first Switch game will mark its first game published on a Nintendo platform since NES games like Home Alone and Where's Waldo?.

Great article Dave! I'm pumped for the Nintendo Switch. I think it's going to surprise alot of doubters out there and I really think it's going to be more powerful than what has been speculated on. I found this quote from the article pretty awesome-"I love it. I got to play it. I will tell you – well, maybe that's an N.D.A. thing. One of the best demos I've ever seen. Probably the best demo I've ever seen. At E3," he told Glixel.
That is pretty MASSIVE praise from someone like him who sees AAA games(and produces/makes them). Now, the question is........what did Nintendo show him hat blew him away? Duke Nukem?-
Btw: Already on a wait list for the system at my local Gamestop. I was number 7 on the list and that was the same day they showed off the trailer. They're taking names for a "pre-wait list" as there's no official wait list yet. So they went old school and had us put our name and phone numbers on the list. I went back a few days ago and it's at least 3-4 pages filled with names. I thought that was cool and that I was number 7! I'm getting mine launch day baby!
