Bravely Default: Fairy's Effect announced for mobile devices
A new Bravely Default game is coming, and it'll all be playable from the comfort of your mobile device.
Square Enix and Silicon Studio have announced a new Bravely Default game is currently being developed for mobile devices: Bravely Default: Fairy’s Effect.
Bravely Default: Fairy’s Effect is described as a “fantasy RPG” and is being developed by both Square Enix and Silicon studio. The game is expected to release in Japan in 2017, although a closed beta for the mobile game is expected to begin soon.
Today’s news just comes a few months after the Bravely series’ official Twitter account teased some upcoming news during its fourth anniversary celebration. The update apologized for being so quiet recently, although it promised it would have something to announce soon.
While today’s news may not immediately excite fans of the Bravely Default series in Western regions, don’t count out a possible release of Bravely Default: Fairy’s Effect outside of Japan quite yet. Square Enix has been doing a good job of releasing its mobile games to the West for the past few years, which we’re hoping it will continue to do so with the upcoming release of Bravely Default: Fairy’s Effect.
