Bethesda's FAQ smooths out performance issues for Dishonored 2 on PC

Hash out video settings, learn workarounds for known issues, and more.

Dishonored 2 releases on Xbox One, PS4, and PC tomorrow, November 11. In advance of launch, Bethesda published an FAQ compiling workarounds for issues that have cropped up for players who started playing today in return for pre-ordering.

The FAQ covers general recommendations, video settings, and advanced options, and lists required and recommended specifications. Tips in the General Recommendations section might bother players used to switching between their games and other applications.

"Avoid using Alt-Tab when playing. Relaunch the game if you see performance dropping after using Alt-tab," Bethesda recommends. "Avoid having background applications running in addition to the game."

If you want to fiddle with video settings without disturbing your framerate, go into Advanced settings and enable Auto presets. Bethesda said that should help even out visuals without dropping frames per second.
