Mass Effect 2 and 3 are now backward compatible on Xbox One
Ya gotta love N7 Day for all the Mass Effect news.
It's N7 Day, so that means lots of Mass Effect news. We just got the new trailer for Mass Effect: Andromeda, and now we get news that Microsoft has added Mass Effect 2 and 3 to the Xbox One backward compatible list.
Larry "Major Nelson" Hryb tweeted out the news with the #HappyN7News hashtag. The games have not officially been added to backward compatible list, but reddit users are reporting the the various DLC for the games are also showing up on the store.
Mass Effect 2 is arguable the best of the series, with the third installment causing quite a bit of controversy over the ending. BioWare received so much grief for it that they released an Extended Cut ending for the game for free. With Andromeda coming in March, now seems to be a good time to replay the games ... or get into the series if you somehow missed it originally.
