Civilization 6 estimated to have sold over one million units
That's a lot of people trying to take over the world.
Civilization 6 released nearly two weeks ago and has been completely dominating in terms of its sales. Today, Civilization 6 is estimated to have surpassed one million copies sold on Steam.
According to SteamSpy, Civilization 6 has sold 1,001,441 copies as of October 31st. That number could certainly be higher as the title appears to be selling at around 20,000 units per day. The title also has an impressive number of concurrent players as over 70,000 Steam users have played the game at the same time, with the all-time peak reaching over 160,000 users.
2K and Firaxis Games announced Civilization 6 earlier this year, and since then, it’s been on quite a ride as we were very impressed with the game when we went hands-on with it at E3 2016 and back in September just weeks prior to its release. Its launch trailer reminded us of its lineup of historic world leaders, and we also learned multiple leaders would be supported in the game.
With all of that said, we can easily see why Civilization 6 has sold so well on Steam. And with Winter coming soon, we’re sure many of you are counting down the days until it gets too cold to go outside to spend nearly every waking moment trying to rule the world.
