Activision explains weapon crafting in new Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare video
There are different types of weapons, each with a unique set of perks.
Ahead of this weekend's beta for Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare, Activision pushed out a video explaining how the game's new weapon-crafting system works.
You'll still unlock weapons for use in multiplayer by leveling up, as has been tradition in CoD games since Modern Warfare. In addition to that system, you'll unlock special prototypes that come in three levels: Common, Rare, and Legendary. Every weapon has a unique perk, which take different forms such as rewarding players who get kill streaks at or above certain numbers.
Besides unlocking weapon prototypes, you'll be able to craft them by collecting salvage "in a variety of ways," per the video.
Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare's beta goes live tomorrow, Friday the 14th, for PS4 players. Pre-loading became available today so you can dive right in when servers go live. The full game releases on November 4, and premium editions include a digital copy of Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare Remastered.
