Here's when you can play Gears of War 4
The Ultimate Edition of the fourth numbered entry in Microsoft's revered Gears franchise unlocks tonight.
Gears of War 4: Ultimate Edition storms PC and Xbox One over tonight and tomorrow, but the unlock time varies by region. Fortunately, the official website posted an unlock schedule so everyone who pre-ordered a digital copy knows exactly when they can rev up their lancers and begin carving up bad guys.
The short list: players located in the United States' Eastern time zone can play the Ultimate Edition beginning at midnight tonight/tomorrow morning, while west coasters can jump in at 9:00 p.m. tonight.
Gears of War 4: Standard Edition unlocks over October 10 and 11.
Gears of War 4 seems primed to continue Epic Games' legacy of epically gory action games. Should you carve a quick path through its base content, there's more content for Gears 4 on the way. Last month, Microsoft and The Coalition added more content to the game's season pass of DLC. "We're upping the value of the Season Pass replacing the 6 Gear Packs with a 17 pack Starter Air Drop," Coalition studio head Rod Fergusson announced via Twitter.
