The Outlast 2 demo frightens Steam, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4 starting today
You better act fast, though. The demo will only be available for just a few weeks.
Red Barrels may not be releasing Outlast 2 in time to give us a good scare this Halloween season, but at least the developer has dropped an unexpected demo of the upcoming horror game on Steam, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4.
The Outlast 2 demo will offer a sneak peek at what Red Barrels has been working on over the past few years as players assume the role of Blake Langermann, a cameraman who is working alongside his wife, Lynn. Blake and Lynn are working as investigative journalists who are following a trail of clues that all stem from the murder of a pregnant woman only known as Jane Doe. Their investigation takes them miles into the Arizona desert, and as you’d expect, some scary stuff is probably going on out there.
The Outlast 2 demo is available for free to download on Steam, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4, but it’ll only be available for a limited time as it will be removed after Tuesday, November 1. This should give fans of the original Outlast enough time to check it out and will give everyone else something scary to play once Halloween comes around.
