Funcom has announced it is getting into the Halloween spirit with its upcoming pant-changing simulator, Hide and Shriek.

The title is Funcom’s second Halloween-themed game which follows last year’s successful release of The Park. While the fright may resemble The Park, Hide and Shriek is a competitive multiplayer game where players are challenged to scare one another.

Each round will last for ten minutes with players tasked to scare their opponent through the use of traps and spells. Players will be invisible to each other so everyone should probably air on the side of caution throughout their entire experience.

“Last year we were the ones scaring the players, this year they’ll be doing the scaring,” said Funcom CEO Rui Casais in a statement submitted to Shacknews. “’Hide and Shriek’ is a ticket to quick, fun ten-minute multiplayer matches where players get to indulge in the spirit of Halloween by setting each other up with traps and surprises.”

Hide and Shriek will release on Steam this Halloween.
