Microsoft has announced its Games with Gold lineup for October, so without further ado, let’s get right to it.

Xbox One owners will be able to download Super Mega Baseball: Extra Innings between October 1 through October 31, and The Escapists from October 16 to November 15.

Xbox 360 owners will be given access to MX vs ATV Reflex between October 1 through October 15, and then can download I Am Alive between October 16 through October 31. Xbox One owners can also gain access to these games thanks to the console’s backwards compatibility feature.

While we enjoyed a number of these games, like Super Mega Baseball and The Escapists, we can’t help but feel underwhelmed by this month’s lineup of free games. Considering Halloween is taking place in just a few weeks, it feels like a wasted opportunity to not offer a game that would scare players to help get them in the holiday spirit. We think Sneak King would have been a perfect addition to October's free games lineup. There's nothing scarier than witnessing The Burger King sneaking up on random citizens.
