BioShock Remastered getting an update to address stability issues
More features planned as well.
When BioShock: The Collection launched last week on PC, players found lots of issues with the game, including many of the bugs that were in the original game. Many fans weren't happy, given that there were six years since BioShock 2 was released and nine years for the original to fix the various issues.
However, 2K is responding to the criticisms with a promise that an update is coming. "We hear you and we’re happy to report we’re addressing this feedback soon." As for what exactly they are working on:
- General Mouse Fixes, including better Mouse Smoothing, Sensitivity and Acceleration Options in BioShock;
- Additional Speaker Mode Options in Audio Settings in BioShock;
- Improved FoV Slider Options in BioShock, BioShock 2 and Minerva’s Den;
- Support for 21:9 display ratios in BioShock, BioShock 2 and Minerva’s Den;
- General stability improvement to reduce instances of game crashes.
No date has been given on when players can expect the update. In the meantime, 2K still wants feedback on the various issues. Given how passionate the PC community is about their games, it is doubtful lack of comments will be an issue.

Ha.
This is good news though. I rebought BS1 in excitement for this and was really disappointed in the reported results. When winter hits, I think I may just be ready to sit down and play all three games together with all the DLC and figure out what the heck I missed in that incredible unfolding story. (I think I get it, but I did spend some time on the Wiki).-
I was really disappointed in the book Bioshock: Rapture. It had some interesting backstory details, but the characters were so terribly realized. Ryan in particular seemed almost a parody of his portrayal in the game.
Still was kinda neat reading it before my replay of the first game because so many more details stood out. Just making it through that writing was murder :(
