Apple has just announced the Apple Watch Series 2, a decidedly different riff on the Watch we're all familiar with.
Like we've already learned about the iPhone 7, it's going to be waterproof up to 50 meters, with a speaker that actively ejects water and a dual port processor that makes it up to 50% with a new GPU for 2x the graphics performance.
On the tech performance improvement front, the Watch Series 2 is two times brighter than before, featuring the brightest display Apple has ever shipped with 1000 nits of power. That's pretty bright...and that's an understatement.
Additionally, there's a built-in GPS for the first time, meaning you won't have to rely on your iPhone for maps or positioning, which can drain your battery. Your workouts can utilize GPS activity as well, which offers route maps and speeds for your walks and runs.

Apple is also partnering with Hermes for some gorgeous (and obviously very expensive) bands.
