Valkyria: Azure Revolution releasing on PS4, Vita in January in Japan
Its Japanese release means we're one step closer towards its eventual Western release
Sega has announced Valkyria: Azure Revolution will launch in Japan on January 19 on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita.
The all-new game within the Valkyria series was first revealed back in November 2015, and since then, we’ve learned some of its brief story details as well as its story-changing permadeath feature.
Day One versions of Valkyria: Azure Revolution will include a redeemable code for a fully-voiced additional story that takes place before the title’s main storyline, called “Judgment Chapter: Vanargand Formation.” Another fully-voiced story is also available to those who pre-register their purchase on the game’s official website.
There’s currently no word if these additional stories will make their way to the eventual North American release of Valkyria: Azure Revolution.
Those attending next month’s Tokyo Game Show will be able to experience Valkyria: Azure Revolution’s latest demo, as well as witness the reveal of an all-new trailer. Those who attend the show will receive a redeemable code for Battle Demo Ver. 2.0, which will become available to download in early October.
Valkyria: Azure Revolution currently has no North American release date set, but considering the popularity of the Valkyria series in the region, we have a feeling it’s only a matter of time until Sega announces its upcoming availability.
To supplement today's release date announcement, Sega has released the following trailer for Valkyria: Azure Revolution:
