Here's Where You Can Watch The 2016 Pokemon World Championships
The Pokemon World Championships are kicking off this weekend, and you can watch all of the action along with us!
The Pokemon World Championships 2016 are kicking off today, although if you’re not registered as a competitor, you won’t be able to attend. Luckily, the competition can be watched through its official online stream.
Pokemon trainers are competing for a prize pool of over $500,000 in scholarships and travel awards, as well as being named this year’s Pokemon World Champion. The competition will consist of the Pokemon Trading Card Game, Pokken Tournament, and some Pokemon video games.
Sorry, Pokemon Go players. There’s still no way to compete in the Pokemon World Championships considering Niantic Labs has yet to release a version of the game that allows for direct player-versus-player combat.
This year’s Pokemon World Championships will kick off at 9am PT with general coverage of the Pokemon Video Game Championships, the Pokemon TCG Championships, and the Pokken Tournament Championships.
The full schedule of this weekend's events can be seen after the livestream.
