Square Enix announces NieR: Automata is coming to PC in early 2017
It appears Square Enix doesn't realize what the word 'exclusive' means now that NieR: Automata is coming to PC.
Square Enix announced NieR: Automata was being developed exclusively for the PlayStation 4 back in October 2015. Apparently, we don’t think the publisher knows what “exclusive” means as it just announced the game will also be coming to PC via Steam in early 2017.
The announcement of NieR: Automata’s PC version was revealed during Gamescom, which officially kicks off today. Series creator Yoko Taro made the announcement in his typical unique fashion as he can be seen donning his iconic helmet as he fiddles with a Valve. Taro-san then makes the announcement by holding the Valve up to the eye of his mask, while saying NieR: Automata is coming to Steam in a nonchalant manner.
With today’s news, it appears NieR: Automata is no longer going to be exclusive to the PlayStation 4, and with its PC version also expected to release in early 2017, we’re hoping both versions will launch simultaneously.
