Koei Tecmo confirms Attack on Titan game will go beyond its anime's first season
Fans of Attack on Titan will be able to enjoy a number of game-exclusive missions that goes beyond the anime's first season.
It’s been over a year since we first heard Koei Tecmo was working with Omega Force, the studio best known for its work on the Dynasty Warrior series, on an Attack on Titan game. Since then, we’ve seen a number of in-game trailers that show off its 3D maneuver gear combat, Eren’s Titan form, and 12 minutes of direct gameplay footage during E3 2016. Today, Koei Tecmo has finally revealed Attack on Titan’s storyline, which will extend beyond the events of the anime’s first season.
In Attack on Titan’s launch trailer, we see a number of scenes that weren’t shown during the anime’s first season. These scenes can be played via extra missions that are completely exclusive to the game, which includes a battle with the Armored Titan, and a gigantic ape-like creature known as the Beast Titan.
Both battles looks to be extremely difficult as we can’t even begin to imagine the best strategy to bring down the Armored Titan, and the range of the Beast Titan’s attacks are unreal.
Attack on Titan is scheduled to release on PC, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, and PlayStation Vita on August 30th.
