Quantum Break: Timeless Collector's Edition revealed for retail
A version of the game is also coming to Steam.
Quantum Break offered some good and some bad moments when it was released in late March, but it was still good enough that Microsoft and developer Remedy have teamed up with Nordic Games to provide a special collector's edition for retail, while the original game will also come to Steam. Both will hit on September 14.
For retail, the Collector's Edition will sell for $39.99 and include:
- Premium packaging
- 5 Game Discs (one-time Steam key redemption required)
- Making of Blu-Ray
- Making of Book
- 1 Soundtrack CD (Audio-CD)
- 2 Posters
- Quickstart Guide
As with the Steam digital version, which sells for the same price, it will have "all of the latest updates" that have been added to the game since release. The Windows Store and Xbox Marketplace are matching the new price for the game starting today, although the change hasn't officially shown up on the Xbox One product page yet.
“Apart from being a new IP (which is always a brave step), Quantum Break turned out to be a sophisticated, visually stunning shooter with a top-notch cast of actors,” Nordic Games' Reinhard Pollice said in the release.

That game was fun but had too much reading. Reading overlong expository emails on a tiny ingame screen isn't fun, especially in an action game like this. That got worse as the game progressed. That should have better integrated into the story.
But besides that it's a great looking and fun game. Combat is enjoyable. Story is good and not predictable at all.
