Ubisoft’s The Division is coming to the big screen, and today, Ubisoft Motion Pictures confirmed Jake Gyllenhaal and Jessica Chastain will star in the upcoming film.

In addition to their starring roles, both Gyllenhaal and Chastain will take part in the development process of The Division’s upcoming film through their production companies, Nine Stories and Freckle Films, respectively.

While this information may not seem new to fans of The Division considering we knew Gyllenhaal would star and produce the film, adding another well-respected star into the mix is never a bad thing.

This wouldn’t be the first time Gyllenhaal worked with Ubisoft on a project as he starred in the Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time back in 2010. After six years, it’s good to see Gyllenhaal working on another Ubisoft project, and judging by its fan base, it may be Ubisoft’s biggest film yet.

How are they going to have a movie where it takes 30 minutes of head shots to kill someone? Game is fucking lame and does not need a movie.

The game itself sounds like cookie cutter near future bullshit so it should be an easy script to bang out. I bet they have a dozen that could fit already.

The dramatic twist is that Jake Gyllenhaal's character gets permabanned for aimbotting, leaving Jessica Chastain's character out there all alone.

Depends on how many bad guys in hoodies armed with baseball bats survive being shot by a fully loaded SAWs. Any less then 1 and the movie is for sure better then the gayme.
