Destiny: The Collection leaks on Amazon with an August release date
Could Bungie be planning to release another version of Destiny to retailers this year? That's what it looks like judging by this leak.
Bungie appears to be planning to release yet another version of Destiny to retailers in the near future as an Amazon listing for Destiny: The Collection has popped up online.
The yet-to-be announced collection popped up on Amazon’s UK site, which shows both an Xbox One and PlayStation 4 version of compilation. The title appears to releasing fairly soon as listings for both versions show it will become available on August 18, 2016 in the UK. This date is approximately a month prior to the release of Destiny’s upcoming expansion, Rise of Iron.
In addition to the standalone version of Destiny, Bungie also released Destiny: The Taken King, which included the base game, Expansion I, Expansion II, and The Taken King. This would mark the third release of Destiny, although at this point, it’s unknown what Destiny: The Collection would contain. Given its tentative release date, we’d find it unlikely it would include Rise of Iron on the disc itself, although a voucher for the upcoming DLC could be included in its packaging.
We've reached out to Bungie and Activision for comment and will update our story accordingly.

Why would anyone buy thing at this point? I feel like everyone that was ever wanting to play Destiny has played it by now,and adding another collection won't really temp many people that were on the fence or had no interest at all into buying it.
At this stage Bungie needs to start getting people hyped up for Destiny 2.-

This is probably the reason.
I upgraded late but played destiny exclusively towards the end of my 360s life. I recently bought the legendary collection and put my $5 down on rise of iron to get that sweet, sweet poster that I traded to my boss.
If this collection had been on the shelf I would have picked it up instead. -

Uh, you drastically underestimate the power of marketing.
Yes you are right that there is an amount of players who will not buy this, but there is an unknown quantity of those who will.
You can bet that Activision's marketing team is way more aware of the possible number of this unknown quantity than either of us can speculate.
