Square releases teaser for Mobius Final Fantasy, due to release on mobile platforms next week

The teaser teases impressive visuals, characters from Final Fantasy 14, and more.

Already out in Japan, Mobius Final Fantasy drops in the US on August 3, and Square pushed out a teaser to show off some of the game's technical and creative features.

Square purports that Mobius Final Fantasy exhibits "console-quality HD visuals." Hey, it's no Final Fantasy 15, but those character models and detailed backgrounds could hold their own against the best of the best from other recent installments.

A side entry in Final Fantasy lore, Mobius nevertheless boasts a panoply of gameplay systems deeper than many mobile RPGs, and it's made by the core FF team to boot.

If you're interested in playing, consider pre-registering: Square is teasing additional in-game rewards—along the lines of elixirs, crystals, and Summon Tickets—if more than 150,000 users sign up. It hit the number recently, so anyone who registers can reap the benefits.
