Gears of War 4 debuts at San Diego Comic-Con with new campaign demo
You can either attend SDCC to get your chance to play the Gears of War 4 campaign demo, or you can just watch the following trailer.
San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC) is officially kicking off tomorrow, and Microsoft has announced it will be bringing Gears of War 4 for those in attendance to get some hands-on time.
The Gears of War 4 demo at SDCC will feature brand-new gameplay that just debuted today. The demo features a piece of the Gears of War 4 campaign as JD, Del and Kait will be joined by Marcus Fenix in order to rescue Kait’s mom, Reyna.
If you don’t plan on attending SDCC, Microsoft has released a video showing nearly seven minutes of the Gears of War 4 campaign those in attendance will be able to experience for themselves.
As you could expect, the demo features many of The Swarm that will need to be killed in order to progress. There are also some impressive weather effects that not only affect how JD moves through the world, but random pieces of debris can be seen flying through the air.
Microsoft is heavily promoting the upcoming release of Gears of War 4 as not only will it be getting its own Xbox One S Limited Edition bundle, but it will also be getting the Loot Crate treatment later this year. And with good reason as we spoke with Coalition Studios' Rod Fergusson at E3 2016 regarding the game, and we were very impressed by what was shown.
Gears of War 4 will release on October 11 on Xbox One and PC.
