Klei Entertainment community manager Corey Rollins published a PlayStation Blog announcing that Don't Starve: Shipwrecked will launch on PS4 on August 2, two weeks from today. Buy in early, and you'll get yourself a tidy discount on the game.

"In our first announcement we had estimated an ambiguous target of 'spring.' We know lots of people have been patiently waiting and wondering where it is (Especially since it’s summer now…). Well, we’re able to confirm that the wait is almost over and on August 2 it will hit PlayStation Store with a 10% launch discount."

In the comments Rollins clarified that Shipwrecked does not feature cross-play, meaning that you won't be able to play the PS4 version on your Vita.

Don't Starve: Shipwrecked is the latest expansion for Klei's roguelike survival game originally released in 2013. Shipwrecked has been out for a while on other platforms, washing up on PC and Mac in late 2015.
