Telltale announces release date for Episode 7 of Minecraft: Story Mode

Episode 7, 'Access Denied,' will feature a guest star when it arrives later this month.

Telltale has issued a press release to announce next Tuesday, July 26, as the release date for "Access Denied," the seventh episode of Minecraft: Story Mode, an adventure series based on Mojang's immensely popular crafting and survival game.

The episode costs $4.99 and will be available on Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS3, PS4, Mac, PC, the iOS App Store, Amazon's App Store, and Google Play. You can also get Episode 7 as part of the Adventure Pass, a $14.99 bundle that includes episodes 6, 7, and 8 of Minecraft: Story Mode.

Episode 7: Access Denied finds Jesse and his team caught in a world controlled by a sentient machine called PAMA. "Forced on the run to avoid capture and assimilation, you'll need to work with a new ally to defeat the corrupted computer and free the population it has enslaved," per the press release.

Additionally, Telltale announced that Episode 7 features Community cast member Yvette Nicole Brown as a guest star. Brown provides the voice of PAMA's creator, in hiding from the machine when the episode begins.

If surviving and building things is more your speed, you can play Minecraft's Gear VR Edition, a special release available for $6.99 in the Oculus Store.
