Koei Tecmo has announced Berserk is getting a Western release this fall on PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita, and PC via Steam.

Berserk will allow players to join Guts along with his newest companions as he seeks revenge through The Hawk of the Millennium Arc, as well as the popular Golden Age Arc. Players will have a diverse selection of characters, including Guts, Griffith, and a number of additional characters from different parts of the story, each of which have their own distinctive set of skills and characteristics.

As we’d expect from a Koei Tecmo’s Omega Force, Guts and additional characters will be given the opportunity to cut through hundreds of enemies at once with the use various weapons, including a giant sword which can be used to Cleave and Smash enemies.

If you’re unfamiliar with Koei Tecmo Omega Force’s work, take a look at their take on Attack on Titan, One Piece, Dragon Quest Heroes, and Hyrule Warriors. That’s what you can expect from their work on Berserk.

It wasn't the worst, but it highlighted the extremely bad CG/animation work. But it gets worse. The actions scenes in 2 and especially 3 are a mess. And then the random, jarring switches to hand drawn animation stuff that looks completely different from the CG. It's pathetically bad for one of the most beloved manga series of all time. And then the pacing of each individual scene is really stilted and strange.

It's nothing like the original anime or the film remake.
