Xbox avatar options will soon include wheelchairs
Microsoft to add a new meaning of 'accessibility'.
Microsoft is always looking at its accessibility options for the Xbox, trying to make its popular console as user-friendly as possible. Now it appears the company will be adding a slight twist to the definition of accessibility.
In response to a tweet by Xbox aficionado Seamus Blackley, Xbox chief Phil Spencer confirmed that wheelchair avatars are in the works. "No petition needed, we hear you. This is something that we've already looked at, not far off." To which Xbox partner director Mike Ybarra tweeted out a "sneak peak".
The images appear to be slightly more detailed than current avatars, which were introduced in 2008. This could be part of an overall graphics update or part of the process in giving the Xbox One S 4K resolution support for all Xbox One games.
Either way, it's nice to see Microsoft continuing to expand its offerings so that users with disabilities can feel even more at home.

Yeah, he is not on staff anymore.
One of my writers messed up and forgot to give themselves credit.
I call it being
* A A R O N * L I N D E * D*
As he is the default author in CMS. It is alphabetized by first name.
It is this attention to detail that will keep Shacknews afloat for at least a few months.
