Awesome, Forgotten Worlds is easily one of my favorite Arcade shooters I worship this game.
Man did I play the heck out of it. Was very cool if you went near your buddy in 2 Player your weapons powered up their shot.
Loved buying new weapons and upgrades in the shops it was like a RPG lite, I loved it so much.
Good items for sure.

I requested this! I'm helping! I'm helping YOU.
"Some kind of currency" is ZENNY COINS.
Also, the final level was a vertical scroller, and there was the split level where you could take one of two paths on a diagonal split before returning to horizontal. (the barge with Anubis)
You were on a mission to KILL THE GODS THEMSELVES.
Also, Burner's cool for the early game (Napalm and Missiles also good), but you're gonna want the Vulcan or Laser by the cloud level. On the flip side of that, the Crystal God at the end of that level was immune to lasers.
I was gonna say you should have mentioned that Hyperdyne Sidearms was the precursor to this, and even had the co-op play, and you could combine your two players into one mech (one player moves and shoots forward, the other shoots an AOE), but you did at least mention it. The normal shooting was horizontal only, though you could fire left and right (I think there was a three way shot that fired in a T shape as well)
NEXT REQUEST: Black Tiger (Black Dragon) IMO the best of the long line of Platforming Combat games from Capcom including Ghosts 'N' Goblins, Bionic Commando, Trojan, Magic Sword, ... and really, you could say Strider counts.
