Grand Theft Auto Online gets one of its 'biggest and deepest' update yet next month
Further Adventures in Finance and Felony promises to be one of Grand Theft Auto Online's 'biggest and deepest' update to date as players will be able to run their own criminal empire.
Rockstar Games has announced one of Grand Theft Auto Online’s “biggest and deepest” updates to date, Further Adventures in Finance and Felony.
Further Adventures in Finance and Felony allows players to expand their organization based off their experience in GTA Online’s previous update, Executives and Other Criminals, to become CEO of their own Criminal Enterprise.
Players will be able to earn their own high-rise office and special warehouse properties in order to buy and sell several types of contraband across all of Los Santos. Unfortunately, building a criminal empire won’t be easy as you’ll be up against the LSPD and the southern San Andreas criminal underworld in order to access the rarest items, thus earning the biggest profits.
All-new gameplay, a host of special new vehicles, and new features are planned to be available in Further Adventures in Finance and Felony. Rockstar plans on revealing more details, as well as the expansion’s official trailer, next week.

You pretty much nailed it, the take two CEO basically said shark cards are the gift that keeps on giving, it's almost 100% pure profit. Almost everything in the game is priced very, very high right down to even clothing items. I takes a loooong time to legit earn money. The biggest shark card is 8 million in game dollars, and would set you back $100 real world dollars

So crabs jarrard, liquid, mercfox1, and myself last night did a mission where we had to steal two cars, lose the 4 star wanted level, and drive them across the map to the drop off. We had 20 minutes to do it and finished with 15 seconds to spare. our reward was $25,000 each. if we did that 4 times we would still be at least $500,000 from luxury car territory. solution? shark cards https://www.rockstarwarehouse.com/store/tk2rstar/en_US/pd/ThemeID.38225800/productID.317353200 you either have to grind the shit out of the game or pay to win

Yeah it's a great model where they can continue to deliver this kind of content to all 3% of the player base willing to waste money on their BS microtransactions.
I wouldn't even mind that so much if it were vaguely possible to earn stuff in game at a reasonable rate but with the prices of all in game items so high I just don't even bother.
Designing exclusively for whales sucks hard.
